PostSubject: Battery Watering System   Fri Feb 06, 2015 10:43 am

Hello,

Here is a video of my install for my friends "Battery Watering System" for his Lead Acid battery banks.

This is what will be on "The Big Foot" once I finish the vented battery box !!!

So simple it is BRILLIANT !!!

a few questions about the automatic water system.  say on your first battery, two of the 3 caps show the white tip meaning they are full, and you have one more cell that needs a little more. do the white tips shut off any more fluid from entering the cell, so only the ones that need fluid will continue to fill?  I just want to make sure that has some sort of protection so you do not over fill the batteries and when charging it all comes out and makes a mess. would sure make my work easier in the shed.

Hey SD,

The float operates the valve. Once up and indicator shows full, no more liquid can enter that cell, Only gasses are allowed in or out.

Each cell cap is an independent valve to the cell. It cannot flow backwards(only into the cell), so even if the boat is at a 45 degree angle, no liquid can leave one cell end enter into another cell.
